Marie Dresselhuis

Vancouver born and raised classical pianist turned prolific songwriter, Marie Dresselhuis, has captivated audiences with her soulful and sensitive vocal blend. Rooted in storytelling, Dresselhuis intertwines raw emotion and unflinching honesty with wit, crafting deeply and widely resonating narratives. Only a year after the release of her beloved first EP, May 2025 saw the release of Dresselhuis’ debut album, A Little Quiet At First. The long anticipated project is an exploration of grief, growth and restoration as a messy, and nonlinear, often circular, process. Beyond her work as a recording and performing songwriter, Marie is a piano teacher, aspiring composer, and life-long learner of her beloved musical craft. In endless pursuit she approaches creative practice with curiosity and open reverence for the enigma of the human condition.
