"You, Me & Harry" offers a unique opportunity to celebrate the music of Harry Chapin, transcending the typical tribute show. By integrating lesser-known anecdotes and backstories with a captivating solo musical performance, this show delves into Harry Chapin's multifaceted career - not only as a singer-songwriter but also as a storyteller, filmmaker, and, most importantly, as a humanitarian. With “You, Me, & Harry,” singer-songwriter Lou Antonucci presents an evening filled with 'Harry's greatest stories', including "Taxi," "Cat’s in the Cradle," "W.O.L.D.," "Sequel," and many others. Featured in every performance of “You, Me, & Harry” is a faithful musical adaptation of a deeply personal poem - never produced as a song - written by Harry Chapin during the height of his career. The poem reflects on the solitude of touring, the quiet after the applause, and the emotional cost behind public success. With special permission from the Chapin Estate, Antonucci preserved every word of the original poem in his musical adaptation. The result, “Singing My Songs Alone,” is an intimate and emotionally resonant work that honors Chapin’s legacy while introducing his words to a new generation of listeners. Jason Chapin, son of the legendary singer-songwriter, shared his thoughts on the adaptation: “My dad wrote from a very honest place, and Lou clearly approached this with that same respect. It’s powerful to hear those words reach people in a new musical setting.” Framed within an evening celebrating Chapin’s music and storytelling, the September 19th performance becomes more than a concert - it is a release celebration, a tribute, and a shared live moment marking the next chapter in a continuing musical legacy. If you’re a Chapin fan, you’ll love this show, if you are new to Harry’s music, it’s the perfect introduction. Harry Chapin believed "to act is to make a difference.“ You, Me, & Harry is more than a tribute to Harry’s music - it’s part of a movement to continue his lifelong fight against hunger. Join us in supporting WhyHunger, the organization Harry co-founded in 1975 to empower communities and solve poverty at its roots. Donations to WhyHunger will be accepted at this show!

Artist bio
Inspired by The Beatles to become a guitar player, Lou Antonucci has been performing onstage in one form or another since the age of thirteen. In his late teens his musical focus turned from rock 'n roll to folk rock with idols such as Crosby, Stills, and Nash, James Taylor, Jim Croce, and especially Harry Chapin.

Lou's early musical successes led to a great gig as the resident singer-guitarist at The Holiday House nightclub just outside of Pittsburgh, PA, at that time the largest nightclub in the country next to the Copacabana in New York City. This allowed him to not only work with, but also learn the business from some of the top national stage acts at the time, including such notables as Ben Vereen, Charo, David Brenner, and Connie Stevens, and yes, even Harry Chapin..

His musical career has spanned several years performing in bars, restaurants, supper clubs, and colleges, honing his craft, and delighting audiences. His stage presence is engaging and well-polished.

Over the past several years, Lou has performed his solo acoustic act Classic Acoustic throughout New England covering more than one hundred dates a year across various venues. His latest project - You, Me, & Harry - Celebrating the Music of Harry Chapin, is now proving to be a big hit with Harry Chapin fans and those new to Harry's music alike. Here's just one quote from a Harry Chapin colleague about the show:

“You, Me, & Harry”, Lou Antonucci’s one man show is without question the most emotion evoking nostalgic trip back to one of Harry’s trademark intimate shows where you feel like you’re just sitting in his living room with him. I dare say more so than any other that’s been or is being done. While Lou does not pretend to be Harry in any way, he certainly channels him in every way imaginable. A must see show for every Harry Chapin fan of every generation."
