Jared Grant – A Rising Soul Star!
When you think of Jared Grant, you think of SOUL! With his versatile voice, radiant smile, and flawless dance moves, he captures the hearts of audiences time and time again. In addition to performing with his own band, Jared frequently appeared on Matthijs Gaat Door as part of the Sven Hammond Big Band. In 2022 and 2023, he toured theaters with the Amsterdam Funk Orchestra’s Tribute to James Brown and traveled across the country with John Williams’ R&B Oldskool shows. And the soul train keeps rolling: on May 25, 2024, Jared performed a two-hour tribute to Michael Jackson, This is Michael, in the grand hall of Ahoy. This mega-concert will have a sequel on May 16, 2025, again in Ahoy. Additionally, on October 25, 2024, he returns to Ahoy for another R&B Oldskool show with John Williams, and from November 14-27, he will be a guest performer with the Metropole Orchestra at the Ziggo Dome. This upward trajectory continues into 2025 and 2026!

Born in Curaçao, Jared grew up in a close-knit musical family. At six, his singing was more akin to grumbling, much to his mother’s dismay. But later, the sometimes-shy boy discovered his love for the stage, realizing he was quite adept at singing. By the age of 12, Jared knew music was his destiny.
After completing the conservatory in Rotterdam, Jared won the audience prize at the Music Matters Awards in late 2012, alongside the third jury prize, marking the beginning of his career. In 2015, he reached the semi-finals of The Voice of Holland, and in 2019, he won the final episode of RTL4’s hit show All Together Now. Collaborations with Trijntje Oosterhuis and international artists like Eliza Doolittle followed. By now, no stage is unfamiliar to him, from North Sea Jazz to Paradiso, and even abroad, including festivals in Germany like Rock am Ring and Belgium’s Gentse Feesten.

In 2017, Jared released his album Back To My Roots, followed by singles like “Break Out” and “You.” Now it’s time for fresh music! Blending his unique sound, Jared transports listeners to the rhythmic soul, funk, and R&B of the '70s and '80s. His latest EP, released in September 2022, features two singles frequently aired on stations like Sublime FM, Radio 2 (Soul & Jazz), and others. Jared also co-wrote and performed “Art (Little Shakey),” the soundtrack for Netflix's The Wonder Weeks (June 2023), followed by another successful single in fall 2023. New music is expected at the end of 2024, with a club tour slated for March/April 2025—many venues are already booked!
