ALEX FRANCIS — THE REVIVAL TOUR THU 15TH OCT | CHELMSFORD, HOTBOX LIVE Some voices don't just sing — they pull something out of you. Alex Francis has one of those voices. Chelmsford used to get skipped. Artists would go from Southend to Colchester and bypass the city entirely — HotBox Live changed that. It’s a venue that wouldn't be out of place in Camden Town — tucked into the railway viaducts, loud, warm, and uncompromising. It's the perfect room for Alex Francis. Twenty million streams. BBC Radio 2 support. Festivals from SXSW in Austin to Madcool in Madrid. His sound sits at the intersection of indie-pop, rock n roll and 70s soul — rootsy, soulful, the kind of Americana that sounds like it was recorded in a candlelit studio in 1972 but feels utterly alive right now. And live, with a full band behind him, it hits even harder. The Revival Tour closes out in Chelmsford on October 15th — and with a full debut album arriving before the year is out, this is the last chance to catch Alex Francis at this level before everything gets a lot bigger. Don't sleep on it, Essex!

What fans are saying

Alex Francis was absolutely brilliant. His Americana music was very fitting for the Country Cafe at Ingatestone. An awesome evening. I would highly recommend the venue and the artist
