De Amerikaanse singer-songwriter Matt Simons brak in 2012 door met zijn hit With You. Nu keert hij terug met zijn vijfde studioalbum Sun In California, dat in mei 2025 werd uitgebracht. Het album bevat muziek die Simons graag zelf zou luisteren en vormt een volgende stap in zijn zoektocht naar een eerlijker en persoonlijker geluid. Zijn werk wordt gekenmerkt door piano-gedreven melodieën en openhartige, soms confronterende teksten over belangrijke momenten in zijn leven. Op dit album gaat Simons dieper in op zelfreflectie, met ruimte voor groei, kwetsbaarheid en vernieuwing. Zaal: Grote Zaal.
