Rev. Dave and the Sin Eaters Biography
Rev Dave and the Sin Eaters is a country-blues band with driving rhythms and poetic lyrics. Cut from the same cloth as Ray Wylie Hubbard and John Lee Hooker, the band owes equal debts to Hank Williams, Bob Dylan and John Prine.
Rev. Dave is part philosopher, part theologian and part singer-songwriter — he’s been baptized by the blues.
Tom Brennan. At five, Tom started his classical training in violin, leading to his playing in bars at 15. He has immersed himself in Irish and Scottish fiddle, and is influenced by the music of the Ottawa Valley.
Stephen Mugford. Mugs is a multi instrumentalist with a diverse background in music, live sound applications and recording production. His standup bass is called the Stag.
David Barry is a drummer. When not playing in the band he shuffles around, humming softly to himself.
Dan Hiltz. Dan is steeped in country folk (think John Prince and Emmylou Harris) and Canadiana (think Neil Young and the Hip). His tonal guitar brings a contemporary dynamic to traditional stylings.
