Artist bio
Toby Lightman's pure, soulful voice has been cutting through the noise since her debut album Little Things landed on the Billboard Top 100 and earned her comparisons to Lauryn Hill, Sheryl Crow, and Norah Jones, along with TV appearances on Letterman, Conan, and CBS Morning and tours alongside Rob Thomas, Jewel, Gavin DeGraw, and Prince. As an independent artist, she has racked up over 100 song placements in film and TV, composed original songs for Sesame Street, and self-produced her 2022 album After All, cementing her commitment to expanding opportunities for women in music through partnerships with She Is the Music, Women in Music, and her role on the NY Recording Academy board. Now the recipient of the 2025 SONA Emerging Songwriter Warrior Award presented by YouTube Songwriters, Lightman returns with Stars, her tenth studio album, self-produced and deeply personal, out May 29, written through a year of upheaval and hard-won resilience that she calls "a window into my heart I've never shared before."

What fans are saying
Tracy and I have been fans of Toby for 20 years. One listen to her music and you know why. One performance and you're hooked. As great as she's become she's actually become even better! Her latest album is fantastic. It's not often she comes on tour, so do yourself a huge favor and see her when she does.
