Sheldon Tyacke Biography
Sheldon Tyacke is everything you would expect from a Canadian redneck. He loves hunting, fishing, country music, and hell raising in his native home of Weekes, Saskatchewan, Canada.
As front man for The Electric Cattle Company band, Sheldon has enjoyed over 20 years of live performing, opening for the likes of Mark Chesnutt, David Lee Murphy and Paul Brandt.
In 2001, The Electric Cattle Company released their debut CD to local fans in Canada, featuring songs Sheldon wrote, and four penned by the Nashville Songwriter Hall of Fame great Kim Williams.
Now, almost 20 years later, Sheldon is about to launch his solo artist career with the help of Kim's daughter, multiplatinum awarded songwriter / publisher and producer, Amanda Colleen Williams whose credits include "She's Tired of Boys" written with Garth Brooks, and "Day Late and a Diamond Short" recorded by Georgette Jones.
Sheldon penned his debut single "I Need My Jones" at one of Amanda's songwriter retreats as a tribute to the George Jones style traditional country music he grew up on, with collaborators Tim Seay and Jody Faison.
Tyacke (pronounced TIE-kuh) has long enjoyed playing in various bands with his brothers in Weekes and nearby Saskatoon, and this year, for the first time, he plans to step out on his own.
"This is my first time promoting myself as a songwriter, musician and recording artist. I plan on playing live as long as God lets me," says Sheldon.
"My songs come from life experiences. I speak the truth, and I'm not afraid to do that," says the country outlaw rocker, Tyacke about his solo material.
As a single father, Sheldon has experienced his share of life's ups and downs, and says keeps himself sane with music, a great sense of humor and fun-loving attitude.
