Megan Moroney

Let me start by saying Megan was a BIG reason I got back into country a few years ago and I’ve been wanting to see her since. In February or there about she launched her new album Cloud 9, an amazing fan and artist interactive app, she posts and you can post too and it’s all on the same page, and let’s not forget all the press leading up to her tour. I think it was March when I saw she was going to be at Climate Pledge, a place where I’ve seen some great shows! So I got my ticket and started dreaming. Then in Mid-April I had to have my left knee totally replaced. But August was far away I’d be fine. And I had Ed Sheeran tickets the night before. Flash forward to 8wks post-op and my knee gets stuck at 80 ROM (140 is top ROM) so I have to have another procedure so I can bend my knee which put me back to day 1. This was 6/22 but still 8/2 is a long way away. My recovery has not been quick and I’m doing the work. I sold 2 concert tickets and 1 was Ed Sheeran because I really wanted to enjoy Megan. I mean when I’m in my car and a song of hers come on it’s hair flying in the wind, me screaming the lyrics, my hand out the window, just being me enjoying a Megan song and I feel her songs. Even if I’m happily married for 22 years I remember heart break. But it relates to me because I have struggles as I’m getting older. Did I mention I’m also an older fan -55 and I’m not ashamed. I’m having more fun than ever but it’s like the highs are high and the lows are lows and I got lots of lows lately so her music makes me feel connected and takes me out of my pain for the moment. That’s a gift and thousands of girls last night sang their hearts out. I loved it and it was so fun I could truly tell Megan was enjoying it herself. She did not disappoint I just wish I could hear her more than the crowd. I have a feeling that may change as the fanbase grows up and. I know I’m not the oldest fan. Last night Climate Pledge was CLIMATE MEGAN”. I was on the rail too and had to give up my spot because of my knee. Next time I see her I better be in top form and then I will be right down with all the 20 something’s. I wish Megan a long and successful career and to ignore the haters. What a great show!!.
