Lucy Korts Biography
With a fearless approach to songwriting paired with powerful, emotionally-ripe deliveries, Brisbane indie-pop songstress Lucy Korts is fast becoming known for her intense vulnerability, enchanting vocals and empowering aura, revealed once again with her brand new single ‘Gone’
Lucy Korts is an upcoming pop artist based in Brisbane, Queensland. From small beginnings, Lucy’s distinct and unique vocal style has taken her from singing in the shower to the festival stages of Australia. With a strong focus on alternative pop and R&B, Korts continues to deliver stirring releases into the hearts of her listeners through her audacious and bold writing style.
Instilled with the strength of a singer and the heart of a songwriter, Lucy Korts debuted in 2017, sharing the stage with the likes of Alex Lahey, The Paper Kites & The Temper Trap at the Queensland Flower Festival, garnering well-deserved recognition from her stirring performances and enthralling vocal prowess. Lucy went on to match forces with Woodfordia for The Festival of Small Halls Australia and continue to gain traction through her gripping musical displays. The upcoming artist has continued to touch new audiences through her vulnerable and emotive performances across Queensland.
After the successful release of her single ‘Not Your Type’ in 2020, Korts gained recognition through national radio stations including B105, Triple J Unearthed and 4ZZZ.
Since dropping her latest pop sensation ‘Gone’, Lucy has gained airplay and recognition through Triple J, 4ZZZ and Unearthed. Including support from The Music, Australian Music Scene, Live Wire AU, Milky and others.
Lucy’s dedication to honing her songwriting craft will see her continuing to break down boundaries through her stirring performance. Korts will continue to set the tone for shooting soft, and equally as strong releases into the eyes (and ears) of the Australian music scene.
