Terraformer Biography
Terraformer is a post-metal band from Belgium. Formed in 2009, this veteran instrumental outfit meshes heavy riffs, twisted time signatures, and ambient melodies to form their carefully crafted soundscape.
Releasing their Self-Titled EP (2010), the band quickly began forming a loyal fan base through their powerful live shows and signed to Dunk! Records. Terraformer went on to release 3 full-length albums, The Sea Shaper (2012), Creatures (2014), and Mineral (2017). With each release, the trio continued to shape, refine, and evolve its sound, increasing their notoriety along the way with tours across Europe.
Ten years since its first release, Terraformer’s tireless work ethic and dedication to finding a unique sound has paved the way for the next step in the band’s evolution. Having undergone a line-up change, Lionel Lhoest (drums) and Oli Lambillon (bass) are now joined by Mat Charray (Mambo) and JP Beaufays (The Link) on guitars, and Nabil Sanaullah (Now, Voyager) on vocals. Breaking away from their traditionally instrumental sound with a new line-up the Belgian quintet self-released their new album "REBIRTH" in April 2022 and is now eager to get back on the road.
