About this concert
FETISH ATTIRE MANDATORY On Halloween weekend, Salome returns to BASEMENT to headline BOUND. The Herrensauna resident is one of the nastiest voices hybridizing electro and techno - sister genres whose roots are irrevocably intertwined. 2024’s “Hacker” EP on Herrensauna’s burgeoning label taps into a seething, euphoric paranoia. “You hacked my mind” intones an impassive voice over a twisting bassline. “You destroyed my mind.” We could say the same of Salome. Katie Rex steps up. The BOUND founder has had quite a journey from subterranean technoid mutations to the ferocious, unrelenting hardgroove and feverish psychedelia of her current sets. Rex is a force to be reckoned with, an artist and organizer who pursues her visions with utter determination and fearless commitment. Vile is back for their second round at BOUND. On releases like last year’s “Synchronous,” Vile draws the listener into the shadows, with deep hues and moody tempos weaving a mesmerizing spell. The First Lady of Wax is back. DJ Minx has become a favorite in STUDIO over the last couple years. A native of Detroit, the city’s foundation history has indelibly shaped Minx’s decades of creative expression. Her music embodies the core depth that defines all Detroit house - a track like “Do It All Night,” released on Carl Craig’s Planet E, bubbles with effervescent sparkle but nonetheless is anchored by a weight and profundity that cannot be faked. Manu Miran continues his run in STUDIO. The Visceral founder has made his mark on NYC and beyond, serving up a pure, sweat-soaked physicality and an unrepentant lusty abandon. DJ Miss Parker raises the stakes. A true wildcard, her sets come rushing out the gates, pushing house music to euphoric, kaleidoscopic heights. No photos or videos Ticket purchase does not guarantee entrance No phone use on the dancefloor The dance floor is for dancing, not conversation No glowing/flashing clothes or items Respect other people's space, no shuffling Consent is mandatory Zero tolerance for racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, ableism or any form of discrimination Take care of each other, alert our staff if somebody isn't feeling well Violating the house rules will result in removal PLEASE REVIEW HOUSE POLICIES AT LINK BELOW

Vile Biography

There is more than one artist with this name:

1) Vile is a brutal death metal band from California, USA. They formed in 1996 and since then, they have released two demos and three full length albums. The band is still together (not all the original members) and currently signed to Listensable Records/Unique Leader Records.

2) Vile probably known only to the most diehard record collectors and other degenerate scumbags. A mysterious and controversial band, they befouled the punk scene with their 1982 Solution LP, then disappeared off the face of the earth.

Vile started in Maynard, a town in Massachusetts. The aim of the band was presumably to piss off as many people as possible, and their dubious tactic was bigotry. In possibly their only Boston appearance, opening up for the Angelic Upstarts in 1982, the singer told racist jokes from the stage and threw the mike stand at a member of the audience. Shortly after, there was an exchange of letters in the local magazine Boston Rock, where Vile defended their right to "free speech" and took out ads proclaiming "Vile says Fuck Off." Their infamous LP was recorded in the legendary Radiobeat Studio, and featured lyrics attacking women, minorities, gays, and pretty much everybody in general. The band distributed some copies of the record by leaving them on the windshields of cars parked at the Boston club the Channel. It has since become a coveted collector's item.

3) Vile was a death metal band from Indonesia. They now go by the name Absolute Defiance.
