Julianna Joy Biography
Julianna Joy has been pioneering the alternative pop world since age 17 when she released her first single,
“Nevermind”. This song caught the attention of publishing label Recognition (fka Big Deal Music) and Joy signed with
them in April of 2020 following the release of her debut EP “Cherries” (prod: Dylan Gardner), which has garnered over 7 million streams to date. The EP lead Joy straight into the world of pop and into the circle of legendary producer and songwriters like Teddy Geiger, John Ryan, and Dee Lilly. Since 2020, Joy has released 3 eps and 1 LP which were all variously highlighted on platforms such as The Zane Lowe Show, Spotify’s Fresh Finds, and Apple Music's "New Releases." . Joy continued to capitalize on that success with shows shows around the country with artists like Xana and Anna Shoemaker. Joy's debut album "somebody call the Firemen! "was released in July 2025. The album is about processing childhood grief and becoming a better person no matter what it cost. The album includes a track covering many different topics such as friendship break ups, ego death, nostalgia, and ulterior motives. The album was featured on blogs such as the Beach House magazine, and featured on playlists such as Apple Music's "New Releases".
