LEYKA Biography
With their 2025 singles “Coffin Nail” and “Missing Piece”, German metalcore band Leyka showcase the full emotional and sonic range of their sound — from raw political fury to intimate grief. After the relentless heaviness of “Coffin Nail”, a powerful statement against right-wing populism and social decay, “Missing Piece” reveals a more vulnerable side. The ballad-like track is a heartfelt tribute to a friend who lost his battle with depression, exploring themes of loss, guilt, and remembrance with soaring clean vocals and melodic refrains.
Following the introspective EPs “Requiem” (2023) and “Resurrection” (2024), Leyka continue to break genre boundaries, standing confidently alongside international acts like August Burns Red and Make Them Suffer. Known for their explosive live shows, DIY spirit, and sold-out events like the band’s own Dystopia Festival, Leyka are the first signing on new label Golden Tides and will hit the road for a nationwide tour in fall 2025 — with their debut album set for 2026.
