While growing up in Brooklyn, Illan Karak, aka DJ Truth's love for music steamed at an early age. After getting a pair of turntables at the age of 16, Truth began spending his time in record stores. Eating up everything from Ray Charles and the Supremes to Tribe Called Quest and De La Soul.
