Mike Bloom Biography
Mike Bloom (also known as "The Caveman") is a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist in the indie rock bands The Elected and Rilo Kiley. He is also a solo singer-songwriter.
Bloom formed The Elected in 2003 with Rilo Kiley co-founder Blake Sennett. Together, they have produced two albums - Me First (2004) and Sun, Sun, Sun (2006).
"The Caveman," a reference to one of his songs, was a nickname given to him by Blake Sennett and Jenny Lewis (of Rilo Kiley). Bloom recently finished a fall tour with the Elected and will be starting a fall tour in August in support of Rilo Kiley's new album, Under The Blacklight.
