The Unending.
A 4 piece metal band hailing from Kelowna, British Columbia, is well known for their high-octane energy and intricate blend of aggression and melodic elements. The inspiration for their sound draws from different aspects of melodic death metal, while incorporating infusions of modern metalcore, atmospheric black metal, and the roots of their classic thrash metal influences, creating a powerful and dynamic style that sets them apart in the Canadian metal scene.
Originally founded by Tyler Thompson (Guitar, Lead Vocals), the band has evolved over the years into a tightly knit lineup that also includes Chase Hofferd (Guitar, Vocals), Jon Hintz (Bass, Vocals), and Connor Bartley (Drums). Together, they create a sound fueled by rapid, technical guitar riffs and punishing drums, with thundering bass tones seamlessly intertwined with the other instruments, including the aggressive and heartwrenching vocal deliveries.
One of the band's standout tracks, "Ethereal", exemplifies The Unending's ability to blur the lines of multiple genres and styles, while staying true to their sound and their mission.
