About this concert
On Saturday 28 February, Canberra will feel the fire of the blues as Christone “Kingfish” Ingram appears at the Harmonie German Club for his Hard Road Tour. Following his sold-out 2025 tour, including a breakout performance at Bluesfest Byron Bay, the Grammy-winning blues sensation is back with his most ambitious album yet—Hard Road. Produced by Tom Hambridge alongside Patrick “Guitar Boy” Hayes and Nick Goldston, the record pushes the boundaries of the genre, infusing blues with rock, funk, R&B, and soul.
Kingfish’s live shows are nothing short of extraordinary, combining jaw-dropping solos, soul-stirring ballads, and a stage presence that commands the room. His return to Byron Bay’s Green Room will showcase tracks from Hard Road alongside favourites from Kingfish, 662, and Live in London.
Supporting the night is Ash Grunwald, the Australian bluesman with a reputation for raw, roots-driven performances that shake audiences to their core. With his unmistakable voice and gritty guitar playing, Ash is the perfect complement to Kingfish’s blistering sound.
Together, they’ll transform Harmonie German Club into a powerhouse of blues, roots, and soul for one unforgettable evening.

How one man can make so much music is incredible. I had a great time. Come back Ash and family. Bought a CD too.
The support and warm up act, Kathleen Halloran was out of this world. At times she reached such highs it was as if she was doing a guitar duet with the universe - her playing to the universe and the universe playing back through her. What an absolute force. I can see why Ash gave her a chance, I really can. Ffar Out!
Kathleen and Ash together during Ash's set was a real treat. I wasn't ready to go home.
I had a great time.
Great venue, great atmosphere, local musicians, what's not to like????
Couldn't recommend more highly.
