Magic Beans have a passion for music that is as infectious as their songs, both of which have gained them national notoriety. The band honors a wide diaspora of American music by incorporating inspiration from funk, disco, rock, soul, and even some country into a complete package that is noticeably their own. Their latest release, ‘Impendo Destructo’, is a concept album of synth laden 70s classic rock and 80s era funk music exploring the themes of civilization post social collapse. Previous studio releases encapsulate the diverse and ever evolving sound of the Beans. ‘Unzipped’, is an all instrumental tribute to lo-fi recording techniques, hip hop beat tapes, and 90’s neo-soul. ‘Slice of Life’, showcases the bands' depth of songwriting and composition as well as their knack for catchy lyrics. The Beans have extensively toured their analog dance music and neo-jam across the whole country, earning them an expansive fanbase.
Seamlessly combining the familiar tones and accessible sounds of the past with a modern spin makes the band a hit with music fans of any generation. Their soulful songs and entrancing dance grooves will fill your cup and leave you wanting more. Intended to move your body and your heart, the band draws you in with their music and their wonderful fanbase, Team Bean, makes sure you stick around. With an impressive repertoire of 100+ songs and resume of 1000+ shows in their wake as a young group, Magic Beans are sure to be one of those bands you'll keep your ear on for a long time.

Poppin fresh Beans! 🫘 Came out strongly hoping to hear Satan In Satin and they did not make me wait very long. No Gantzer; I will yet find a way to make him take money to play music for me. I heard congratulations is in order for him with a new tiny Gantzer on the way. Montage is a solid little venue and I look forward to more shows here!!

THE MAGIC BEANS Biography
"The Magic Beans have been making big waves in their home state of Colorado for some time now, with their unique genre-blending sound and exciting shows. Since starting to tour just couple of years ago, they’ve caught the eyes and ears of many music lovers nationwide. Their annual Beanstalk Festival is also becoming quite the destination for the scene, growing in size and talent with each passing years. At the core of it all, Beans’ shows are a dance party, with an emphasis on original songwriting and extended segments of improvisation. [They] creatively invoke hints of your favorite live acts while managing to come across with a sound that is distinctly their own."
- Live for Live Music - 5 Up & Coming Jambands Poised to Take Over the Scene
"Blended genres, instruments meeting electronics, improvisation, exciting live shows. That's pretty much the formula for a successful Boulder band right now. It can be tiring, finding the truly talented ones, so here's a hint: Magic Beans"
- Ashley Dean, Colorado Daily (Feb 22, 2012)
"Local Legends? That may be a bold statement, but the The Magic Beans are heading in the right direction.... a non-stop party that surely must have worn down more than a few pairs of dancing shoes... genres didn’t lack variety. When The Magic Beans took the stage something just screamed “headliner.” Their stage presence is as professional as it gets. They are always composed, but still let the crowd know they’re having a blast...these guys are really doing something that comes from the soul. It’s almost impossible to put a label on.... It seems like they are consistently pushing their limits.....The Magic Beans delivered a show that was nothing short of amazing between the songs they delivered and every positive emotion that came with them.... Like a dream, the night has come and gone"
- Don Tartaglione, SWAAGER (Mar 24, 2012)
The Magic Beans have shared the stage with an eclectic group of musicians: ranging from String Cheese Incident, Umphrey's McGee, Lotus, Disco Biscuits, Leftover Salmon, ALO, The Motet, to acts like Railroad Earth, Kyle Hollingsworth Band, Great American Taxi, Twiddle, Dopapod, Zac Deputy, Elephant Revival, Greensky Bluegrass, Split Lip Rayfield, Juno What, Papadosio, & The Werks just to name a few. They've performed over 700 shows as group across the nation, selling out venues as they go. They host the annual Beanstalk Music Festival in Colorado which plays host to international, national, and regional acts of all kinds.
Scott Hachey – Electric/Acoustic Guitar, Vocals
