Lalu Biography
Lalu is a four piece from Melbourne's inner north weaving personal narratives and vulnerable storytelling with a sweet, sometimes heavy but always melodic sound.
Comprised of brothers, Aleksei (main songwriter) and Emile (drummer) Feik, childhood friend Arlo Haughey (lead guitar) and later in life friend Leo Roland John (bassist) - Lalu's signature sound comes from a shared love of indie folk and rock music, as well as contrasts that come from differing musical upbringings.
With their first single as a band, 'Firebugs (Simple Song)' releasing on Friday April 25th, Lalu are gearing up towards launching their full length, self produced debut album later in 2025. Having slowly built a small but passionate fanbase through years of playing shows at bars and venues around Melbourne, the album is sure only to add to their growing popularity.
