赤西仁 Biography
Akanishi Jin (赤西仁), (born July 4,1984 Tokyo, Japan) is a member of the Johnny's Entertainment idol group KAT-TUN. He represents the "A" in the group's name.
From his fans he got some affectionate nicknames. Jin is one of them, but there is also Bakanishi (baka literally means stupid or idiot; because he often acts childishly). He plays guitar, has a fabulous voice, and writes many songs for himself and KAT-TUN ("Care", "Hesitate", "Love or Like, "Murasaki""). He starred in dramas such as Gokusen 2 with Kamenashi Kazuya, Anego, and a drama special called Kurisumasu Nante Daikirai (I Hate Christmas).
On October 12, 2006, Johnny's Entertainment officially announced Jin's hiatus to study abroad since he has had that desire for a long time, leaving KAT-TUN as a 5-member group. He studied in LA for six months, returning to Japan and resuming group activities with KAT-TUN on April 19, 2007.
On August 29, 2007, it was announced that Jin would be starring in his first drama since "anego" in 2005. Fans were also happy to hear that Jin would be taking the lead role in this new drama, "Yukan Club", which is to begin airing on October 16, 2007 on NTV in the 10 PM time slot.
