ARTIST
This was my first time seeing Jesse Cook live, therefore I didn't know what to expect. Jesse and the band far exceeded my expectations. Of course Jesse was incredible, but I have just as much musical respect for the drummer!
The second song, La Rumba D'el Jefe, was a solo effort...I feel that (in recorded versions) the strings and percussion GREATLY add to this piece and although I still loved it, something was missing.
Also, I would have liked to hear Bogota By Bus.
Otherwise, the show was phenomenal and I brought two friends to the concert who were not fans a few days ago, but they certainly are now. Thank you Thank you Thank you!
VENUE
I love the Barrymore. I wish I could see all of my favorite bands in an intimate setting like this. I know the building is old, but thank you for keep on keepin' on. It's nice the be able to sit during a show. It's nice to have cup holders. It doesn't smell old and unkept. The staff is super friendly. There are no bad seats. Tickets are actually affordable. The acoustics are good. Long live the Barrymore!!
