Mark Lockheart is a British jazz tenor saxophonist and composer renowned for his distinctive and creative contributions to the UK jazz scene. He gained prominence in the 1980s as a founding member of the influential big band Loose Tubes and later co-led the eclectic quartet Perfect Houseplants. Lockheart has also been a member of the award-winning band Polar Bear and has released several acclaimed albums as a bandleader, blending elements of jazz, new music, and folk.
