The Discount Pills Biography
We are an original, husband and wife duo, initially from Chicago
now hailing from Austin Tx. for the past 12 years. We've held residencies over the years at Austin staples Hole in the Wall and Still Austin Whiskey...our latest through this year is at Meridian in Buda Tx. We are self taught and as DIY as you can get!! Our sound has been described as Desert Surf/Cowboy Lounge Dream Pop. Influences: Federale; Alvvays; Ry Cooder; Aimee Mann;The Pixies; The Breeders; Gene Vincent;;ZZTop;Cordell Jackson....well...really everybody!!!! We've played for HAAM Day/Pecan St Fest and regularly play at different spots in town as well as putting together/ hosting shows. We'd love to play at your place!!!
