EMEREE Biography
EMEREE is the project born by Australia's standout musician, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Gabrielle Emery. Her music confidently shines alongside contemporary RnB fusion artists RAYE and Cleo Sol. The homage to classic soul in the ilk of Amy Winehouse is woven into EMEREE's self-produced records. Known for her incredible whistle notes, four-octave vocal range and harmony stacks, 90’s R&B flair and warm production makes EMEREE unmissable. Feeling both warmly familiar and undeniably unique in 2025 is no mean feat. As a writer, her lyrics often explore the realms of sexual identity and female empowerment with addictive honesty.
A viral TikTok breakthrough heralded her debut single, 'Leave You Like a Man' - garnering her millions of views and a devout following anticipating the moment to amplify her debut EP, ‘Gold’. A commended producer in her own right, EMEREE's golden touch has catapulted works to over 50 million Spotify streams like Tyla Jane’s hit “Energy” which also boasts massive international sync placements. EMEREE is definitely no stranger to international demand; she flies to collaborate as a producer and songwriter in both the U.S. and U.K regularly.
On stage, EMEREE's magnetism has thrust her into the spotlight, supporting Australian heavyweights Thelma Plum, JACOTENE, Budjerah, and playing the Great Escape Brighton and BIGSOUND 2025. EMEREE has landed countless editorial playlists reaching large including Fresh Finds, and was handpicked as one of NME’s Top 100 Artists to Watch of 2025.
Australian favourites Eves Karydas and Tia Gostelow handpicked EMEREE for a residency at Brisbane's 4000 Studios with APRA AMCOS. The residency featured mentorship from multi-platinum record producers and collaborations with esteemed Australian artists. She was nominated for ‘Best Soul/Gospel Work’ at the Music Victoria Awards and received an Honourable Mention in the International Songwriting Competition for ‘Leave You Like a Man’. EMEREE has just been named one of NME’s top 100 artists of 2025, and nominated for Self-Producing artist of the year with the Music Producer and Engineer’s Guild.
Proudly representing incredible female producers, artists, the queer community and women in general across Australia and the US, EMEREE has just unveiled her Mixtape, ‘It Might Be Love (It’s Not)’, and already received national support from Triple J, NOVA, BBC Introducing, and NME.
