The indie disco, funk house and organic dance music label from Berlin, that releases the music of key artists such as COEO, Cody Currie, Sam Ruffillo and is also known for big party happenings around Europe (The Toy Tonics Jams) and cutting edge t-shirt designs. Before creating Toy Tonics (with two friends) Modica used to make music under the name of MUNK and run Gomma records (2000 - 2015). Gomma was the  label that defined the Y2K Indie dance sound along imprints like DFA and Output records. Modica released music under his 2 aliases Munk and Kapote but also produced music for and with artists like James Murphy (LCD Soundsystem), Peaches, The Rammellzee, Nancy Whang, COEO, Cody Currie and the first 3 albums of WhoMadeWho. Sam Ruffillo is the Italian DJ and producer making waves as the disco heartbeat of Toy Tonics, and he's already commanding attention with just three EPs under his belt. Heavy-hitters like Gerd Janson, The Blessed Madonna, Palms Trax, DJ Tennis, and Seth Troxler are all backing his sound—making it clear that Sam is more than just a rising star. His tracks “Danza Organica” and “Perfetta Cosi” quickly became the go-to anthems for 2023 summer sets, cementing his place at the forefront of the scene. But Sam's story goes beyond just buzz. His latest EP “Italianissimo 2” features a track that's taken over Italian pop radio playlists and is gaining serious traction in the underground club scene worldwide. A product of Sicily with roots in New York, his music is pure Mediterranean disco and funk house, laced with Italian vocals and an energy that takes you straight to the dancefloor.
