As always, I left being extremely jealous of everyone who has yet to see the show! I would seriously give anything to see it again. One of the most impressive things for me is that even though the show, on the surface, contained a lot of "random" tangents and stories, Will Wood was able to tie everything together and bring it back to his original point no matter how far "off track" the show seemed to get. It's the kind of show you won't fully understand until the end but it was so worth the wait. The lead-up to my favorite song, Marsha Thankk You for the Dialectics but I Need You to Leave, was especially fantastic. Definitely a show I would love to see get the same treatment as Slouching Towards Branson with many live performance videos available and even a short concert film. Maybe that's a little ambitious to ask but it was an equally beautiful show. My only complaint is that it wasn't a little longer!

Will Wood Biography
In the ten years since the release of his debut album, indie singer-songwriter Will Wood has played the roles of drug-addled shock jockey, cryptic art-rock recluse, self-deprecating chamber-pop balladeer, and storytelling alt-comic with paradoxically equal parts authenticity and theatricality. While it may have served Wood well to fall in line with the demands many artists face when confronted with an unexpected viral moment, the cult singer-songwriter has remained defiantly himself. In the theater, Wood’s emotive storytelling and standup intertwines with his widely varying style of music in a way that refuses to conform to either tradition, and when with his band, his raucous “Tapeworms” concerts are equally unconventional. Will Wood is a pescatarian, collects stuffed rats, and lives in New Jersey with his girlfriend and a dozen or so rescued stray cats.
