In the diverse cultural fabric of Queens, New York, rising star Aricel has emerged from the borough's diverse cultural milieu. She has been singing since childhood and refined her craft at the prestigious LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts. At 20 years old, she released her debut EP, “GENESIS”. A year later, on June 13th, 2025, she released her second official project, “Brown Eyes at Night”. It is described as a “pop-dance” experimental tape, exclusively produced by women in music. “Brown Eyes” is an executively-produced and self-written mixtape.

“GENESIS” displays Aricel's unique vocal and lyrical talents, with her sound seamlessly blending indie soul and R&B– both rooted in the traditional jazz and soul influences that shaped her early musical passions. It was a reflection of her journey, blending themes of existential reflection and hopeful prose with captivating vocal arrangements reminiscent of Ariana Grande and SZA. “Brown Eyes at Night" aims to graze the surface of her musical inspirations: the likes of “The Fame” era Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Charli XCX, and Donna Summer.
