We Are Stations Biography

"I was on the verge of letting go / Before you came into my world and gave me hope, to hold to," goes the opening line of We Are Stations' debut single, "Found My Way." The couplet perfectly sets up the rest of the muscular, relentlessly hopeful rock track, but also captures the essence of We Are Stations -- four musicians living in New York City that were about to pack away their rock-and-roll dreams before colliding into one another. Indeed, the music of We Are Stations is defined by this sense of new beginning and hope. Growing up in New York City, vocalist/guitarist Steven Baggs honed his songwriting while cycling through a series of musical outfits. Eventually he crossed paths with bassist Matt Leibowitz, whose shared vision made him an ideal collaborator. It was with this quality that they sought to outfit the rest of the band. A mutual friend's staged introduction brought guitarist Eric Sunray into the fold and, when the guys met Allie Dobyns at a show in Brooklyn, they quickly recognized her potential as a songwriter, musician, and voice in the collective. Sensing the potential in their budding partnership, the members of We Are Stations bowed out of their respective day-jobs in favor of posts in New York City nightlife and, after months of preparation, the group began recording songs with producer Tommy Eichmann. With much more to come, We Are Stations are poised to bring their messages of positivity, optimism, honesty, and hope to the world. "Keep Your Head Up," available now on iTunes: http://bit.ly/Vj89Rn
