After a year out of the spotlight, Martha Chess Phelps, (previously just ‘Martha’) is back with a bang! Embracing her full name and her full self with the upcoming release Sleep Too Much – an ode to brutal honesty and owning every part of yourself. Even the embarrassing stuff.

Martha Chess Phelps is an indie folk/rock singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from inner Sydney. Honest lyrics and folk-influenced vocals intertwine with a distinct rock flair. Though still young, Martha has been around some years now, playing throughout Sydney and alongside many big Aus music names. She appeared on The Voice Kids in 2014, graduated from the prestigious Talent Development Project in 2019, and has since performed headline shows at The Factory Theatre, The Vanguard, Lazybones Lounge and The Botany View Hotel.
