Shelley Mac Biography
Shelley Mac has graced the stage alongside iconic artists such as Sting, Sir Elton John, and Eric Clapton, captivating audiences of over 45,000 people. With her angelic voice, she champions worthy causes and nurtures the next generation of singers. A true Kiwi at heart, Shelley now calls Texas home and embraces the beauty of musical diversity. Her artistry knows no bounds, spanning pop, jazz, blues, reggae, and even a hint of Americana!
Shelley first made waves in 2006 with her New Zealand band, Pearl. Their debut album, No Ordinary Day, produced six hit singles, with Life is Beautiful soaring to No. 1 on the New Zealand radio Hot AC charts. Critics hailed Pearl's sound as reminiscent of Heart, The Corrs, and a pop-infused Dixie Chicks. Their electrifying performances opened doors to share the stage with legends, propelling them into the spotlight.
In 2009, after Pearl disbanded, Shelley courageously ventured to the United States, where she met Texas rocker Rod Williams. Their undeniable chemistry ignited a powerful collaboration. After months of relentless touring, the duo returned to New Zealand in late 2010, where they captured Sting’s promoter’s attention during their nationwide tour. This led to an extraordinary opportunity to perform alongside Sting during the New Zealand leg of his Symphonicity world tour.
2022 marked a significant chapter for Shelley as she released several new singles in addition to launching her brand new business, Tulum2u, demonstrating her unwavering passion for music and desire to evolve.
