Taken By Tides Biography
Taken By Tides is a Texas-based band consisting of 4 friends, each seasoned veterans of their respective scenes, who came together during the pandemic to break the mold and redefine the world of active rock.
Consisting of vocalist Omar Martinez, guitarist Guillermo Rodriguez, bassist Jack Strunk, and drummer Jayden Mermella, Taken By Tides is the result of years of perseverance and dedication, and, in its new revitalized incarnation, a vehicle for cathartic transformation of hardships into success. With tens of thousands of views on their music videos for existing tracks including In My Dreams and You Are What Makes Me Bleed, it’s clear they’re on the right path.
Musically, Taken By Tides draws from a diverse range of traditions from metal and rock to pop and trap, channeling them through a web of influences into a unique, invigorating, and ground-shaking energizing sound, straight from its member’s core.
