About this concert
Step back in time and let your ears drink in the sweet, sun-dappled sounds of Queenie & Hank — a dynamite duo dripping in rhinestones and soaked in ’60s charm. With golden harmonies and a smoky twang, they channel the sultry swagger of Nancy & Lee and the tender fire of Dolly & Kenny, while offering something undeniably fresh.
“Queenie” is Eloise Thetford, a rising star in Melbourne’s live music scene with a voice of pure gold. “Hank,” aka Henry Wagons, a pioneer of Australia’s indie-country movement, adds his fireside baritone and visionary edge. Together, they twist and turn through a psychedelic folk turbine, emerging from the darker corners of music and storytelling with a sound that feels both timeless and brand new.

Queenie is a very charismatic and powerful performer. Her voice is amazing and the songs are very well crafted. The band display expert musicianship, the drummer is amazing! I especially like "Not Divine" & "Mama" which the band played. The Frankston Waterfront location was very well set up. A huge stage and very large open area to watch the bands. Plenty of food and drink available. Unfortunately the weather on the day was a bit of a letdown, being a little cold and overcast, nonetheless and excellent performance from an undoubtedly stellar band of the future.

Queenie Biography
“Equal parts theatre, thunder and attitude” - Rolling Stone, 2025.
Queenie’s 2024 debut album New Moult is a melting pot of immersive soundscapes, raw emotion, and powerhouse vocals—an unflinching statement of arrival from one of Australia’s most exciting new voices. Released via Cheersquad Records & Tapes the album debuted at #19 on the ARIA Charts and #3 on the AIR Charts, earning national radio rotation including Double J.
Blending vulnerability with voltage, Queenie’s songs cut deep—led by “Not Divine”, which was shortlisted for APRA’s 2025 Song of the Year and cemented her reputation as a fearless, genre-blurring songwriter. Nominated for Breakthrough Artist and Album of the Year at the 2025 AIR Awards, she’s already being recognised as a major force in Australian music.
On stage, Queenie is magnetic. Whether performing solo or backed by a band of Naarm/Melbourne’s finest, her shows shimmer with raw energy, theatrical flair, and a voice that can shift from delicate to explosive in an instant. Following a sold-out album launch at Northcote Social Club, she’s become a festival favourite with appearances at Beyond the Valley, Queenscliff Music Festival, PANAMA, Blues on Broadbeach, and more.
With New Moult, Queenie hasn’t just announced herself—she’s kicked the door in.
