Electric Wires + LUCA UK PREMIERE LIVESHOWS with Jeanicelee as very special guest 8th October 2025 Bannermans | Edinburgh 212 Cowgate, Edinburgh, EH1 1NQ Electric Wires Electric Wires is an Italian instrumental progressive rock trio formed in 2023, featuring Alessandro Di Virgilio (electric guitar), Paul Zogno (electric bass), and Ciro Iavarone (drums). Their sound stands out for its fusion of styles, drawing influences from '70s prog rock to thrash metal, fusion, and world music. Among the band’s main musical inspirations are Pantera, Steve Vai, King Crimson, Bill Frisell, and Led Zeppelin. Electric Wires blends technical skill, improvisation, and refined songwriting, crafting compositions that explore complex sonic structures and evocative atmospheres. With solid experience in various musical fields—including jazz, progressive music, and international projects—the three musicians bring a unique and complementary vision to the band. Electric Wires is the synthesis of their passion for experimentation and their drive to redefine the boundaries of contemporary instrumental rock. LUCA LUCA is an Italian solo project in the Progressive Metal/Djent genre, formed by guitarist and bassist Luca Negro (Temperance). The initial idea for the project was conceived during the pandemic, a long period of forced absence from the live scene, which allowed Luca to create his first ideas and gradually accumulate material with a distinct style from all his other musical projects. Azalea is the debut EP, released on July 2, 2024. In this work, LUCA presents himself not only as a bassist but also, for the first time, as a guitarist. The compositions of Azalea are deeply influenced by the sound of bands and artists such as Periphery, Plini, and Tesseract. In these five tracks, LUCA demonstrates his ease with complex guitar and bass rhythms, as well as intricate lead guitar lines, showcasing profound versatility in instrumental performance and remarkable compositional skills. LUCA manages to blend the intricate polyrhythms typical of Djent with the sophisticated melodies of Modern Fusion, creating a unique sonic experience that captures the listener's attention. Each composition is a dynamic journey, rich in rhythmic and harmonic variations, reflecting his ability to experiment and innovate within the genre. His skill in seamlessly switching between instruments and mastering different musical styles makes each performance an example of exceptional technical competence and artistic expressiveness. Fronted by Jeanice’s deep emotive vocals and supported by Marco’s neoclassical style lead guitar, Jamie’s driving bass and Tony’s impactful drumming, we tell stories with powerful melodies. Fireworks Magazine, in reviewing Jeanicelee’s album Urban Legends, concluded that “frontwoman Jeanice Lee’s incisive vocals – it’s the sound you’d hear if blades could cry”. Rockfield called it “a beautifully written and intriguing album and presents something just a bit different”.
