Kennedy Von Kat

Kennedy Von Kat is a Canadian melodic metal and alternative rock artist from Niagara Falls, known for her raw, evocative music that explores themes of mental health, trauma, and emotional resilience. Drawing inspiration from the hard rock and gothic icons of the 2000s like Evanescence, Pierce The Veil, and Flyleaf, Kennedy creates a sound that is both haunting and empowering.

She made her debut with the impactful single ‘PSYCHODRAMA’,which quickly gained traction on TikTok, resonating with listeners for its candid exploration of internal struggle and heartbreak. Expansion Radial hailed the track as "a raw testimony of internal struggle and heartbreak," showcasing Kennedy's ability to connect deeply with her audience.

Since stepping onto the live performance scene in 2022, Kennedy has shared the stage with notable acts such as heavy metal band Judgement, Brandon Hart, and Goalkeeper. Her musical journey reached a new milestone in 2024 when she won first place at the Mic Drop competition. In 2025, alongside Grammy-nominated and Juno-winning judge Michael Hanson. As well as being nominated in the ‘Niagara Music Awards’ for 3 categories.

Kennedy's debut EP, ‘BLOOD ON THE ALTAR’, released on August 20, 2024, dives deep into her personal history, inviting listeners into her dark, immersive world. The EP is now available on all streaming platforms worldwide. She will continue her journey in summer of 2025 with brand new emo/metalcore inspired tracks!
