Ever More Nest: Soaring, river delta Alt-Country that builds houses of emotion across a warm and lonesome landscape.
Rooted in Southern musical traditions and infused with confessional 90s angst, the music of Ever More Nest can likewise lull and rock you right off a front porch. Ever More Nest’s dynamic, homegrown voice—hugged by lush, church-pew harmonies—is complemented by ghostly, effusive guitars, spirited mandolin and banjo, mournful fiddle, and a rhythm section steady as a country train.
Emily & The Velvet Ropes:
Emily Robertson is known for an expressive vocal style that in one moment evokes the sultry, smoky air of a post-Depression jazz club before next mesmerizing audiences with the shimmer, sparkle, and vibrancy of a modern Mardi Gras dancing krewe. Emily & The Velvet Ropes set listeners deep into the plush polyester sofas of the lounge in their minds through moody takes of songs by Leonard Cohen, Nina Simone, Portishead, Patsy Cline, and Roy Orbison. From the soulful to the country or crooning, her band’s musical choices satisfy both the introspective and the uninhibited with a cleverness and curiosity not often attempted by New Orleans cover bands.
JQ Palms:
Q Palms lives in New Orleans and is a prominent stand-up comedian and improviser known for her dry, witty delivery and parody ukulele songs. JQ was a featured comic at the premier opening for New Orleans’ first dedicated comedy venue, Comedy House NOLA, in June 2021 and has been a featured performer there ever since. She headlined the first New Orleans Comedy Festival in November 2021 and currently co-hosts the monthly all-female comedy show “Coven”. JQ was also a featured host and comic at Hell Yes Fest (2019) and St. Claude Comedy Hour (2019-2020). jqpalms.com

Kelcy Mae Biography
Kelcy Mae's southern poeticism, commanding vocal performances, and genre-traversing albums have landed her comparisons to a varied group of famous songstresses including Natalie Merchant, Regina Spektor, Bonnie Raitt, and Shelby Lynne. Whether digging into her Louisiana roots and tapping her boots to an original honky-tonk tune or emoting alongside wailing electric guitars in a consuming 90s-esque, alt-rock trance, Kelcy Mae undoubtedly sings from the heart, which--to the benefit of audiences--is often right on her sleeve.
The New Orleans-based songwriter launched a new project, Ever More Nest, in 2018. The band's debut, The Place That You Call Home, has been nominated for Best Alt-Country Album in the Independent Music Awards and named to Offbeat Magazine's Top 50 Albums of 2018. Ever More Nest is currently on tour. Track them on Bandsintown and listen/watch at EverMoreNest.com. You can hear Kelcy's previous albums at KelcyMae.com.
