The venue was iffy but Cryptodira puts on a killer fuckin show every time. They have great energy definitely a band to see. They make just want to punch a 6’ foot tall guy and not be scared about what’s going to happen to you!!

Cryptodira is a 4-piece progressive/experimental metal band from Long Island, NY. With an ever-twisting sound full of surprises, Cryptodira seeks to add a dirty edge to the polished sound that is usually associated with progressive metal. The band rather seamlessly blends a Converge or Dillinger Escape Plan brand of chaos with lengthy song structures and manic time changing for a beautiful, yet ruthlessly aggressive sound.
In a progressive world jammed with spacey themes and fictional storytelling, Cryptodira’s lyrical message revolves around the intersectionality theory of oppression, bringing a uniquely realistic and human element to the table.
