About this concert
Join the party to celebrate Tavia Rhodes' debut album release!
Tavia Rhodes is a singer-songwriter based in Seattle, WA. A powerhouse vocalist and performer, Rhodes’ compositions are as versatile as her own vocal range, slipping gracefully between contemplative folksiness, soulful melodies, and soaring revelations. Rhodes is a truth-teller and her songs grapple with and embrace themes of grief, love, and breaking free. Her music represents a seismic shift in the soul.
2019 was Rhodes’ debut year as a solo artist with the release of her first single ‘Her Eyes.’ Since then, she has released two more singles and frequents stages in and around Seattle with her full band of drums, bass, keys, guitar, and a trio of female vocals. In October 2024 Rhodes launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for her debut album. The campaign was a huge success and here we are not one year later and ‘HER SAY’ is on its way.
‘HER SAY’ is a coming-of-age confessional. It tells the story of a woman breaking free and coming home to herself and her own sense of belonging. HER SAY’ came to life at Seattle’s world-renowned Temple of the Trees recording studio, crafted with grammy-winning producer Bradley Laina, her band, and a handful of guest artists. The result is a soul-folk-rock journey that some describe as soulful indie rock. Each track is a world of its own, rich with emotion and steeped in empathy. There are road songs, ballads, pop melodies, and quiet epiphanies: all held together by Tavia’s powerful voice and vision.

Tavia Rhodes Biography
Seattle-based singer-songwriter, Tavia Rhodes’ music is a dynamic example of what happens when precise musical training meets the raw, passionate edge of creative instinct.
As a sought-after vocalist in Seattle’s musical community, Rhodes’ previous projects have included guest spots with local cover bands, session work for film and video game soundtracks, and as longstanding backup singer for Seattle bands Fading Collection and Modern Relics. 2019 was Rhodes’ debut year as a solo artist with the release of her first single, “Her Eyes.” She only played one live show before venues closed their doors during the pandemic. Now she’s back and ready to share new music.
Rhodes’ compositions are as versatile as her own vocal range, slipping gracefully between contemplative folksiness, dark soulful electro-melodies, and incantational refrains. Grappling with and embracing themes of grief, resilience, love, and the feminine spirit at its most potent, her songs represent a seismic shift in the soul.
With lyrics that put words to ineffable emotions and melodies both somber and uplifting, her songs are a tribute to the “hers” of the world. Her second single “The Last Witch,” released in 2022, is a timely expression of women finding their voice and reestablishing sovereignty over their lives.
