Who dat, TAM?

TAM is the musical alias of Tamara Güçlü, a Berlin-based neo-soul artist with Turkish-German roots. Her joyful, empowering anthems are inspired by fellow U.S. and UK artists that fuse melodic, contemporary hip-hop with organic, soulful R&B and poetic, empowering lyrics – artists like Little Simz or Cleo Sol come to mind.

Born in rural Southwest Germany, an underage TAM would sneak into Stuttgart’s hip-hop clubs, witnessing soundsystem clashes and reggae bashments. Fueled by the inner turmoil of her teenage years, she started writing diaristic rap lyrics – inspired by Alicia Keys’ soulful, iconic glamour and the dark, dramatic music of Amy Winehouse.

A late-bloomer as an artist, TAM started recording and releasing her first own songs in 2021. Her poetic, empowering lyrics regularly focus on the importance of self-care. She speaks out for diversity and inclusion, even in the face of heavy pushback, proudly representing strong inner values like authenticity and honesty, humbleness and humility, genuine kindness and respect.

TAM is currently working on a new EP, with „Trip“ featuring Nomé already being the first release in April 25 and new bops following over the year.
