TICKETS HERE Day of Contempt lies in the depths of the metal, hardcore crossover.The Adelaide, Australia based band dominated through an onslaught of throat-shredding vocals and heavy, abrasive guitars, reinforced by smashed out, beats. Establishing their place amongst the pioneers of heavy Australian hardcore, Day of Contempt contrasted their aggressive, groove-laden assault with hints of melody.Day of Contempt emerged at the beginning of 1998, after releasing 2 demos, 1999 saw Day of Contempt release their debut EP “Where Shadows Lie” on Trial and Error. They went on to record “See Through the Lies” which was released by Resist records/Goodlife recordings, “The Will To Live” on Epitaph, and a 25th anniversary vinyl re-release of their first EP on Kingpin in 2024.Both during Day of Contempt’s original lifespan and in posthumous reunions, they toured internationally with Earth Crisis, One King Down, Throwdown, Terror, Every Time I Die, Alexisonfire, Underoath, Bury Your Dead, Good Charlotte and Mindsnare.With half of the founding members' roots in hardcore and the other half in grind, the fusion created the distinctive and unforgiving Day of Contempt sound.

Day of Contempt Biography
Day of Contempt are a metalcore band. Formed around 1998, they were originally part of the Adelaide, South Australia underground hardcore scene, in mid 2004 they set up in the Los Angeles/Orange County area.
They have toured internationally and are on tour, as at October 2005, with The Used.
In Australia they have toured with or supported international bands including, Unwritten Law, Strung Out, the Mad Caddies, H20, One King Down, Throwdown, Ensign and Australian bands 28 Days, Frenzal Rhomb, Take The Crown, AFI, Superheist and played at Adelaide's Big Day Out.
