Acid Throne Biography
Following the release of their debut album 'Kingdom's Death' in November 2023, ACID THRONE have been pummeling the UK metal scene, making a name for themselves with crushing riffs and visceral howls. Only two years in, the three-piece have established themselves as one of England's heaviest Doom exports gaining fans far and wide with hundreds of records sold to fans from the US, Canada, Europe and Australia.
2024 has been a massive year for the band, starting with a UK tour supporting CANCER BATS/BAT SABBATH in January, playing back to back shows to sold out crowds. As if this wasn't heavy enough, ACID THRONE were also chosen as an ORANGE AMPLIFIERS spotlight artist, boosting their reach and reputation as ambassadors of legendary British tone. On top of that, the band were invited to headline a stage at London's infamous DesertFest, where they packed out the venue to the rafters and had fans queuing round the block, choosing ACID THRONE for a show that the press described as, 'arguably the heaviest set of the weekend’. The band also found the time to support UK heavyweights CONAN, and started the summer sharing a stage with international peers including HIPPIE DEATH CULT and DOPE LORD.
Looking ahead, the band are already working on album two and will be embarking on a headline UK tour in autumn, hitting new cities as well heading overseas for a festival date in Ireland. Bookings for 2025 are already in full swing, with plans for a European crusade and international festival dates already confirmed . If you haven’t done so already, get to know ACID THRONE, as Kerrang suggests, ‘it’s clear they’re not fucking around’.
