lady lychee

spiky on the outside, sweet & squishy on the inside. 24-year-old singer-songwriter lady lychee grew up an hour outside of philadelphia, shrouded in corn fields and suburban shopping malls. nowadays she lives in the urban pressure cooker that is new york city, writing songs in her brick bedroom with the same electric guitar she’s had since she was 12. having grown up studying jazz piano, her music incorporates improvisation and common jazz harmony, but curiously ventures into indie pop and pop punk territory. some of her biggest influences: thelonious monk, gerard way, taylor swift, michelle zauner, maude latour. some of her favorite things: insects, outfits, her cat jiji and of course, lychees.
