About this concert
New York Citys legendary Rhythm Street Sermons and Lowdown Ways (YepRoc Records) earning 5 stars from Rolling Stone magazine with features on NPR and regular airplay on the BBC reaching as high as #10 on the UKs top 40 Americana charts. Over the last decade these gentlemen have amassed a cult like following all their own with a tough to beat reputation for being one of the finest live acts on the road today. A Daddy Long Legs show is equal parts roots rock, blues and guttural soul, stripping down old standards and making them shiny and new again. Some of the originals are like an all-out spiritual revival, while others are hauntingly beautiful. Daddy Long Legs is endorsed by Hohner harmonicas.

Daddy Long Legs Biography
"DADDY LONG LEGS takes the blues and turns them inside out, upside down, round about and renews their primal energy. My favorite rompin’ stompin’ New York band of the moment." - Lenny Kaye
"DADDY LONG LEGS have finally made a studio album that matches their reputation as a firecracker live act. These 12 original songs expand and solidify their blues-punk sound while keeping alive a tradition and vital part of American roots music. Sounds great!" - Jon Spencer
"...like Chicago blues fired at the moon, played by the demented children of the Pretty Things." - Rolling Stone

Daddy Long Legs - New York City’s most explosive Rhythm & Blues street gang aren’t back, they never left. In dark times they continue to shine their light everywhere they go leaving a piece of themselves on stage every night because it’s in them and it’s got to come out. Now the boys make their highly anticipated post pandemic return to the UK + EU in October and unveil their new killer 4 piece format with Dave Klein on Piano who joins the original lineup of Brian Hurd (Lead Vocals/Blues Harp) Murat Aktürk (Guitars/Vocals) and Josh Styles (Drums/Maracas).
It’s been 2 1/2 long years since the boys toured the UK + EU playing their last gig in Dublin just hours before the lockdown officially kicked in. In the meantime the Brooklyn 4 piece have cooked up a new album to follow up the genre defying "Lowdown Ways" released on Yep Roc Records in 2019. Stay tuned for details on the new release coming early next year.
