Australian Folk Rock band ‘The Bushwackers’. Carol Lee Sampson (Keyboards, Guitar, Vocals) a very talented Singer/Songwriter from Malvern and founder of the band Julie July (Vocals, percussion).

A lovely venue in St Mary's Church in Chester. Watch out with the SatNav as it can take you down a street blocked of with bollards to save about 100yards instead of going to the roundabout! Plentiful parking very close by in front of the courts and it's free after 3pm! The venue has a lovely ambience and you sit on comfortable roomy chairs not like sardines in small hard uncomfortable seats as in the large arenas!
I've listened to and enjoyed JJB's music for some time and have their LP's except the latest which a bought last night. This was the first time I was able to see them live and what an experience! Julie is a fabulous singer and all the of the instrumentals are brilliant resulting in a sound you feel immersed in. I can't wait until the next show I can get to. Julie and all the band members are approachable and friendly and she said they hope to come back to that venue. So look out for it and don't miss it!

The Julie July Band blend the golden era of British folk-rock with a fresh, contemporary edge. Fronted by Julie July’s crystal-clear, emotive vocals, the band’s talented line-up combines acoustic and electric textures with rich, five-part harmonies.
Originally acclaimed for their reimagining of Sandy Denny classics, they have since carved out their own place in the modern folk-rock scene with three acclaimed albums of original songs — Lady of the First Light (2019), Wonderland (2022), and Flight of Fancy (2024).
