The Vendettas Biography
The Vendettas are a guitar-driven, straight up Rock band from Melbourne, Australia.
Fronted by the hard-rock swagger and soulful vocals of Steve Redden, the crunchy ‘Brit rock-like’ guitar ‘bite’ of Jared Mattern, all held together by the solidly monstrous rhythm section of James Rogers on Bass and Rick Van Der Meer on Drums, the band has been a part of Melbourne’s renowned live music scene for more than 10 years, mastering their craft to every beer-soaked wall and sticky floor the town has to offer.
In 2019, The Vendettas went from strength to strength, securing their first international support with Danko Jones (Canada), receiving regular airplay on PBS FM & Triple MMM (Hard N Heavy) all the while continuing to build their presence in the local scene, doing what they love, belting out rock n roll, the way it should be!
March 2020 saw the release of a limited edition 7" Single "Rats on the Wheel" via Rue Morgue Records/Golden Robot Records, which sold out online in a matter of weeks.
May 7 2021 the band released their highly anticipated LP "THE VENDETTAS III" (Golden Robot Records) and with their new single "6 FT UNDER" out May 9, 2022, The Vendettas are poised and ready to attack the ears of all you rock fiends, near and far - watch this space!
