Javier Escovedo Biography
Javier Is best known as the leader of the west coast punk rock pioneers The Zeros whose "Wild Weekend" was named one of the top 50 punk rock songs of all time in Mojo Magazine. The Zeros have also received a lifetime achievement award from the San Diego Music Awards.
In the 80s Javier formed the True Believers (EMI Rounder) with Brother Alejandro in Austin Texas and toured the US and Canada with Los Lobos.
Javier has released two solo albums City Lights and Kicked Out Of Eden so far and is working on a third.
All Music Review, Mark Demming. " Javier Escovedo has been writing, singing, and playing vital, heartfelt music since the late 70s and it's clear he isn't stopping anytime soon. If you like to say they don't make real rock and roll records anymore, give "Kicked Out Of Eden" a spin and find out just how wrong you are."
