Being Korean, Spanish, Russian and Swiss, MURU finds home all around the world through Music. In her songs, you may hear fragments of her classical music upbringing, as well as soul and funk that influenced her teenagerhood. With influences ranging from Kimbra, Janelle Monaé, Jordan Rakei and Nao but also Slowly Rolling Camera, Gogo Penguin, and Alfa Mist, MURU enjoys leaving space for instrumentation as well as her lyrical messages.

Blending harmonies with her vocal looper and the keyboard are her specialty, which are tied together with her voice that unites her eclectic compositions. For MURU, Music goes beyond emotions, interaction, or technicality. It is a space she creates for her audience, to share a message of unity, hope and resilience.
