Death Cult

Death Cult is a gothic rock band formed when Southern Death Cult's Ian Astbury joined forces with Theatre of Hate's Billy Duffy; Jamie Stewart joined on bass, and Nigel Preston on drums, after Ray Mondo's brief stint behind the kit. After recording two singles and one radio session, the band changed its name to The Cult. A number of Death Cult songs made their way on to the first Cult album, 'Dreamtime', albeit in more polished, rockier versions.
