Alonzo Demetrius, born March 25, 1996, is the innovative lead trumpeter for the Jonas Brothers and a versatile composer, vocalist, and producer. As the founder of The Ego, he blends genres like jazz, gospel, R&B, hip-hop, rock, and world music. His debut album, Live From the Prison Nation, protests the Prison Industrial Complex and highlights his commitment to social justice, earning him recognition from the late Ralph Peterson of Onyx Productions.
His work has been featured in major publications, and he showcased his talent in NPR's @Home series. Alonzo graduated from Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor of Music in Professional Music and a Master of Music from the Berklee Global Jazz Institute. He has collaborated with renowned artists including Stevie Wonder and Terence Blanchard, establishing himself as a significant voice in music and a catalyst for change.
