Legendary Brazilian psych-rock/ tropicalia pioneers return to Dublin this summer after almost two decades. Formed in São Paulo in the late 1960s, the band were at the heart of Brazil’s radical Tropicália movement, blending psychedelic rock, traditional Brazilian sounds, surrealist lyrics, and an anti-authoritarian spirit. Their genre-defying sound and fearless experimentation made them one of the most influential and beloved cult bands in music history.
Over the decades tehir impact has echoed far beyond Brazil. Beck paid homage with his track Tropicália on the 1998 album Mutations. The Bees covered their classic A Minha Menina, and Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers is a vocal fan. Kevin Barnes of Of Montreal and David Byrne of Talking Heads have long championed the group, Byrne even helped reissue their music on his Luaka Bop label. In 1993, Kurt Cobain famously penned a letter to Arnaldo Baptista urging the band to reunite.
With a refreshed lineup featuring Sergio Dias (guitar and vocals), Esmeria Bulgari (vocals), Henrique Peters (keys), Vinicius Junqueira (bass), Claudio Tchernev (drums), and Camilo Macedo (guitar), Os Mutantes entered a new creative chapter. They released Haih Or Amortecedor in 2009 (their first studio album in 35 years), played major festivals like Glastonbury, and dropped follow-up albums Fool Metal Jack (2013) and Zzyzx (2020). Now, don’t miss this rare opportunity to witness a living piece of musical history, live in Dublin. It’s been 18 years. The wait is over.

Camilo Macedo Biography
Natural de Itapeva/SP e residente em Sorocaba, é compositor, guitarrista e contrabaixista elétrico.
Como integrante do grupo Vintena Brasileira(importante grupo da cena instrumental liderado pelo pianista e arranjador André Marques)dividiu o palco com grandes nomes da música instrumental como Hermeto Pascoal, Nenê(baterista), Hamilton de Hollanda, Vinicius Dorin, Arismar do Espírito Santo, Mônica Salmaso, Sérgio Santos, e ainda com a Vintena gravou o cd intitulado “Bituca” com arranjos para músicas de Milton Nascimento.
CharlieEchoLimaTango é um de seus projetos instrumentais que já tem 2 eps lançados sendo o mais recente, “Sounderground”, em parceria com o selo sorocabano Lastro Musical.
Como baixista acompanha o guitarrista Sérgio Dias em sua carreira solo tendo tocado no circuito do “Festival de Blues e Jazz BB Seguros” tendo como convidado o guitarrista Luiz Carlini, apresentou-se também no Blue Note São Paulo e no aclamado"Montreux Jazz Festival"edição Rio de Janeiro.
Atualmente integra a icônica banda “Os Mutantes” tendo se apresentado recentemente por algumas das mais importantes casas de show e festivais do Brasil, Estados Unidos e Europa, como LPR(NY), SXSW(Austin), Foro Indie Rock(Ciudad de Mexico), Trópico(Acapulco), The Chapel(San Francisco), Azkena Rock Festival(Vittoria/ESP), Petit Bain(Paris/FR), Rocking Chair(Vevey/CH), Tractor Tavern(Seattle), Levitation Festival(Austin), Freakout Festival(Seattle), Meow Wolf( Santa Fe), Pappy and Harriets(PioneerTown), The Ford Theater(LA), Jazz is Dead- Lodge Room(Los Angeles), João Rock(Ribeirão Preto), Rock Fun Fest(São Paulo), Cine Joia(São Paulo), Virada Sp(Indaiatuba), Montreal Jazz Festival(Canadá).
